Contois Reynolds Stained Glass
Demonstration Continued...

The rough glass edges are ground smooth using a diamond dust wheel suspended in water (to capture silicon dust).

Some glass is then hand-painted and kiln-fired for special textural surface effects.

Each glass piece is wrapped with copperfoil, a metallic tape with an adhesive backing, which sticks to the glass.

The pattern is fully laid out and soldered - the solder bonds to the copperfoil.

The soldering fumes must be vented to the outside of the studio.
